If I’m not mistaken it has been a month since I joined the gym. I had been through 5 sessions with my personal trainer, Jack so far. The last time I did the body assessment was when I signed up for the package which was on 24th July. According to the machine, I was obese and my fat mass percentage is a whooping 31.8%. Still, I’m sceptical with the machine’s reading but anyway, workout is good no matter you are fat or skinny. Ever since then I started to visit the gym quite regularly, like 3 to 4 times a week at least. Except the time when I got really bad muscle soreness until I couldn’t move. Trauma seriously -.- I strongly reckon good rest and fill the tummy with some food before workout. Otherwise the body will be too weak for the workout.
Throughout the 5 PT sessions, I’ve done some workout with the machines (both upper and lower body), resistance training and cardio workout (which I will do it by myself now to save the session). Let’s share one of the toughest workout thus far which I’ve done. It was on last Tuesday whereby Jack asked me to do a few sets of exercise on power plate. An hour before the session, I attended the body balance class which was great! I love it and I plan to be a regular. Body balance focuses more on stretching and balancing. Which is something that I’m very weak of than many other things like cardio. I like how soothing and relaxing it is but at the same time it is fun. The movements are slow but still, I sweat a lot more than I walk on the treadmill.
Surprisingly after the class I didn’t feel tired but all energetic and pumped up. So I was ready to go for the power plate session. Hell, the power plate exercise is tough! Altogether I had to do 3 sets. Each set comprised of 3 different exercises and each set had to do 3 reps. It was really intensive, I especially hate steps because each time I have to do 2 minutes of steps. I’m really surprise that I managed to pull off all the reps and finished them without feeling dizzy but I did feel tired though hahaha. It was a great workout because I did feel that my body was being pushed more than usual. What is more surprisingly was, after the workout I didn’t feel any bad soreness like I did before. Probably it was because of the stretching I did in body balance class. I find it really helps a lot. The soreness subside in just 2 days
After the PT session, Jack did an assessment again and the new reading showed that I lost 4% of fat and 1.5kg in 4 sessions! Jack said 4% equals to 2kg of fat (according to my fat reading). He and another personal trainer looked at my assessment in shock lol. Of course many would have done better than me but for a person who never did any sort of exercise before, I guess this is a pretty good start. Currently my fat percentage is at fair level, 27.8% YAY!! No more obese muahahahaha.. *shake butt* The positive me says that I can be back in shape very soon! Gotta try harder and harder ;)
As for my diet, I still eat like normal but I pay more attention to the calories intake and the time I eat. Nothing very healthy in my meals though. I don’t fancy raw vegetables, oats, wholemeal bread, brown rice etc. However, my meal intake has reduce tremendously since don’t know when. I only take half or quarter of the servings and my tummy already full. Recently I’m addicted to salmon spread with crackers. I can eat that all day long! It’s super yummy and healthy too (I think).
3 love notes:
Woohoo! Great job! I still am at obese level...wahahahaha! So geng lo you can go down 4% in just 4 sessions. Keep it up! =D
Thanks Audrey! But I didn't see any changes on my body also except the abs. Thighs still flabby like before :(
Got changes to the abs is good ady :D Thighs I think need to do more cardio or leg exercises. My legs and thighs changed when I did the dance classes and capoeira coz everyday we use a lot of the legs....try bodystep & RPM. Those I think will help :)
Yesterday I did RPM class...killer man! I almost died. LOL! But it was really fun though...:)
