I love January
I constantly have to remind myself to remain cool for the month of January. First, because my birthday is approaching I don't want to be all grumpy and ugly even though I'm getting another year older. Secondly, January is supposed to be a happy month! A month filled with festivities and holidays! :D Who doesn't love holidays right. Especially when it comes with free ang pows. Well, not so much for me because I have to start giving ang pows this year and no ang pows for me!! Dem.. It's ok it's ok.. chill chill.
There are somebody in the office who really drives me to the wall this few days. Not going to reveal the details but when I tried to analyse the whole thing, trying to think of an excuse why she keep repeating the same silly mistakes.. I just can't!! How difficult it is to make sure that the amount of things you received, the same amount of things go out while you have all the records with you? Even a five years old can do a better job I think.. Gosshh.. *Breath in breath out.. x10*
Putting that aside, I've been watching many videos about make up and stuff on Youtube these days. It's all started with the famous Cassandran Bankson flawless foundation video and leads to a few others. All of a sudden I feel all inspired and wanted to look pretty too! I admit I'm a slow poke when it comes to self grooming. Not that I've never groomed myself but I don't pay much attention to my make ups, hairstyles and dressings most of the time. It's time to stop being so laid back! People says there are no ugly woman, only lazy one. True true!
There are a few things which I wanted to try out. Since my birthday is coming, I will make a wish list. Basically to remind myself that I need to save more $$$ to get all the below (which is also pretty impossible).
Skincare and Make Ups
Based on the reviews that I've read, Mat Velvet is suitable for oily skin and it gives a really matte and velvety look just like what it claims. Whereas the HD foundation gives superb coverage. The layers can be built from sheer to heavy depending on your preference.
2. Smashbox Anti Shine *Saw this at Sephora and priced at RM110. Didn't get it because I think the Mat Velvet foundation is good enough for oil control. Full review soon!
As per the product name, this is good for oily skin. Usually my t-zone gets oily really fast. This would be good to apply on the oily areas before putting on the foundation.
3. Hourglass Veil Primer
Almost the same as above. Suitable for oily skin as well.
4. Tarte Clean Slate Face Primer
This product got such a good rating in Sephora. Probably the cheapest among the 3 primers which I've listed? Let me check it out this weekend if it is available at Sephora Malaysia.
5. Eye Shadows (any brands)
I've been using the same Kate eye shadows which hubby got me close to 5 years ago *shock* He got me two, 1 in brown shades and 1 in pink shades. Usually I only use 2 colours from each palette and both still have plenty left till date lol. I was looking at Urban Decay Nude palette which was really a hit and go out of stock all the time. But it's too expensive and I don't think I need that many of brown shades.
The picture below is in Innocent Beige. I will check out all the colours and decide which one to buy. I don't like lipstick because my lips are very dry and chapped all the time. So I will just dab on Vaseline and that's it. But a little bit of colour will definitely enhance a person's look, I think.
7. Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner *Sephora don't have this.. They only have the cucumber one :(
Looking at the product's name you should already know this is for acne prone skin. Although my skin clear up a lot now but I still apply Mario Badescu products to prevent acne. Currenly I'm using Artistry Essential Balancing Toner which almost finished. This Artistry set of skincare is the only skincare that I used until the last drop thus far. Except the facial cleanser which I don't quite like because after rinsing, I still can feel the product on my face. Actually it is meant to be that way. It's not the cleanser but the good properties of the products will remain on the face. I didn't finish it and have been using soap for quite a while. Will talk more about this in another post.
8. Clarisonic Mia or Mia 2 *Mia is available at Sephora too. Price at RM580 or something.
I would prefer Mia 2 because it has 2 speeds control. The one selling at Sephora is Clarisonic Plus which cost about RM800+. Crazily expensive! The last time I checked (which was quite long ago) they do not have other models except Plus. There are other sellers selling Mia at RM550 with travel bag and an additional brush head. Might consider to get one when I have the money. Otherwise I will get a substitute which is No. 9.
9. Silicone Facial Cleansing Pad
If no money to get Clarisonic, get this! lol Why not? It's only RM20+ :P This is not the hair brush thingy that we used to wash hair ya. This is a pad that made of silicone and used to exfoliate the skin.
*ATTENTION TO ADAM LEE! IF YOU WANT TO BUY ME THIS PLEASE SEE PROPERLY! -.-*
Cooking and Baking
1. Electrolux Built-in Oven
I'm still surveying on the models and other brands. Electrolux seems very promising but the price is very very expensive. Not going to get this for the moment unless money suddenly falls from the sky -.-
2. Braun Multiquick 7 Kitchen Machine
A good food processor/ chopper/ blender/ and whatsoever is definitely the best kitchen helper. Don't you see even Jamie Oliver used chopper all the time in his cooking shows? Quality comes with a price and there is no such thing as cheap and good when it comes to kitchen appliances (I think). You don't want to chop your fingers off with buying a cheap one right. Something similar to this Braun Multiquick would be good ;)
Other Random Stuff
1. Victoria Secret Gift Set
I've never tried on any of the VS body mist, lotion, or body wash before but I heard they smell good? I was expecting the price for VS product will be very expensive but surprisingly, it is not! Averagely, it price around RM45-RM50 per bottle. There's even a sale on the website which even cheaper.
Most of all, the 1 which is on top of my wish list is this.....
LEE HOM 2012 MUSIC MAN CONCERT TICKETS!!!!
I've watch the first Music Man concert and it was GREAT!! This is something not to be missed seriously. I still remember there were so many uncles aunties went for the concert. Wish I will be able to attend to this one as well *fingers crossed*
