Favourite Make Up and Styling Youtube Channels
For the past one month or so, I have been hooked to Youtube. So much so that I will be caught watching make up tutorials, styling vidoes, haul videos, whenever I am free. There are tonnes of Youtube gurus/ channels out there, which makes it even more difficult to choose the one that suits me, especially make up channels. Some gurus tend to use more high end products, some a combination of both and some prefer drugstore products. I prefer a mixture of both because I can't afford to buy high end makeups all the time. Moreoever, if there are good and cheap products, why not?? Not sure about others but I find videos that only focus on branded makeups didn't help me at all and totally unrelated since I can't afford them :/
Here I want to share a few channels which I'd subscribed and like very much. The only downside is all of them are from the US or UK. So some of the products are not available locally here in Malaysia. However, certain items still can be purchased online or through pre-order.
1. gossmakeupartist
My favourite make up channel! Wayne is an amazing amazing make up artist. His video is always straight to the point, informative and very very useful. No babbling or whatsoever *thumbs up* I've learnt a lot from his channels and always find his tips super useful. Check out his videos for MAC and NARS dupes! You will be surprised there are actually equally good products out there but with a much much lower price.
Did I mention that he used to have acne too when he was young? Look at his skin is now.. Oh one more thing, he has a video that show how to cover ice pick scars! Definitely check those videos out.
2. frmheadtotoe
A gorgeous Korean Youtube guru who resides in the US. I like Jen's video because she is an Asian, which makes it easier for me to follow her tutorials because her skin tone and features are closer to us Malaysian Chinese (although her skin is obviously so so so much better T___T ). She is one of the guru who uses a mixture of high end and low end products, as well as Asian brands makeup. You will see she uses stuff like bb cream and some korean brands like Lioele in her videos. Majority only Asians use bb cream, while Americans use tinted moisturizer? There are kinda same I guess. It is easier for us to get a hand on Asian brands here in Malaysia compared to US/UK brands. So, do check her out ;)
Btw, she is in Jason Chen's Solo Player music video!
3. GregoryGORGEOUS
Just like his name, Gregory is gorgeous!! The way he grooms himself is way better than a girl, well me at least. Check out his room tour video and I am sure your jaw will drop to the floor. I wish I have a room as gorgeous as that!! His video is super funny and very true to himself. Very inspirational, and makes me want to be as confident as him, as gorgeous as him :P
4. clothesencounters
Last but not least, a styling channel by clothesencounters. It used to be maintained by Jenn and Sarah, two beautiful young ladies who loves thrifting. But now the channel is entirely host by Jenn alone. Their styles are more to vintage, thrifty, retro, quirky... if you know what I mean. I used to sell vintage clothings so I am totally into them. Even if you are not into this kind of style, doesn't matter because just by watching how they work out every single pieces of the clothing will give you many ideas on how to mix and match you wardrobe. One thing I learnt from them is to buy something that is not only pretty, but wearable and versatile. That save me a lot of money in my recent shopping :D
That's all for now. Check out the above channels and let me know what do you think. If you have any favourite Youtube channels, please share with me! I watched almost every single videos that I subscribed and out of videos to watch haha..
